EQ1910 - Equine Functional Posture - Level 2
LEVEL 1 and LEVEL 2 can be taken back to back!!
This advanced course is designed for individuals who have successfully completed the EQ1900: Equine Functional Posture – Level 1 course and wish to deepen their understanding of equine biomechanics, postural assessment and targeted therapeutic techniques. This Level 2 class builds on the theories and concepts introduced in Level 1, expanding into more advanced assessment methods, in-depth anatomical analysis, and specialized techniques aimed at improving equine postural strength and function.
Students will refine their ability to evaluate static and dynamic posture, integrate targeted mobilization and therapeutic exercises, and apply environmental and training modifications to support long-term postural health.

Course Objectives:
- Develop advanced skills for evaluating static and dynamic posture
- Conduct in-depth assessments of anatomical structures and their influence on posture
- Apply specialized techniques to enhance postural strength and function
- Implement environmental and training modifications to support optimal biomechanics
- Refine palpation techniques to identify key areas influencing functional posture
- Integrate advanced mobilization exercises and therapeutic movement strategies to correct postural imbalances
Prerequisites
Students must have completed the EQ1900: Equine Functional Posture – Level 1 course, though the externship does not need to have been completed. The Level 1 and Level 2 classes have been designed for students to comfortably attend them back-to-back.
